notices when you buy a new bag.
six-foot-four
is a handbag and accessory company founded by Christine and Joanna
in the summer of 2004. The six-foot-four
line began as a hobby shared by the designers during their time
at Bard College. Beginning with a single piece given as a birthday
gift to a friend, word soon spread and interest in their handmade
bags grew. Located today in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, six-foot-four
is where fashion and function reach new heights.
six-foot-four knows
that you don’t want a cookie-cutter bag, so production is
kept to a minimum. Each piece is cut, pinned, and assembled by hand,
ensuring that your six-foot-four bag is truly unique. Personal attention
is paid to every detail from the practical (heavy-duty zippers and
plenty of pockets) to the playful (each style in the line is named
after a boy who embodies the six-foot-four
spirit). At first glance, you’ll be struck by each bag’s
sturdy exterior – constructed of durable, machine-washable
canvas – but remember, six-foot-four
loves surprises, and inside you will find
colorful cotton linings in whimsical prints. Like that tall boy
in a sweater vest and dirty Converse trying to catch your eye on
the subway, six-foot-four
bags are stylish, charming, and fun.
So hit your growth spurt…but in
the meantime, six-foot-four
would be glad to get that off the shelf
for you.
